Osteopathy is less characterised by a fixed set of techniques. The prerequisite for successful osteopathic treatment, however, is a sound knowledge of each tissue, its structural-functional unit and the manifold interactions of the tissues and organ systems with each other as well as the palpatory approach to the respective tissue and to the globality of the tissue dynamics.
